Papageno-style “cheap chic”, the glint of a brooch as a quick adornment here and there, or the lacy ‘glass bead game’ vivaciousness of the allegro could certainly make Forman’s Mozart (as well as anyone else seeing these paintings) giggle wildly! All of this is just a small segment in a kaleidoscope of emotions that worshipping Mozart’s music brings out in me. That’s why I dared (all the while having a lot of fun last summer) to materialize my joy of listening and playing Mozart’s music. In these ‘buffo’ installations I tried to capture the spirit of Mozart’s time, turning them into some kind of small stage settings of a Viennese Volkstheater “Singspiel” of his time. My ‘hommage á’ Mozart! And as far as my ambitions as a painter go, even Salieri is welcome to criticize me! Because…this is not a musical but a painters’ joke!
